Mariners Pull Out Late-Game Win, 2-1
The Seattle Mariners topped the New York Mets, 2-1, in American League action at Citi Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Tarik Skubal. After today's action, Seattle sits at 50-73; New York slips to 69-53.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Enrique Hernández to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mariners on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
