Yankees Tuck Away 3-1 Win Over St. Louis

The New York Yankees used a great performance from Michael Wacha, who is tied for 6th in the AL in quality starts with 13, to beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 3-1, at Busch Stadium. Keegan Akin converted his 21st save in 23 tries. New York is now 57-67, St. Louis 42-83.
New York used the hitting of Austin Hays to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Yankees on top, 2-0. For the game, Hays had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
