|
The Oakland Athletics beat the Cincinnati Reds, 7-3, at Oakland Coliseum. The Athletics got a fine performance from designated hitter Royce Lewis, who was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Oakland goes to 71-54, Cincinnati to 60-66.
CJ Abrams had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Athletics. Coming up with the bases loaded and Oakland trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single.
"I felt good up there," said Abrams. "I saw the ball well."
