Boston Gets 10-6 Win Versus New York in 11
|
The Boston Red Sox overcame a good performance by New York right fielder Starling Marte to knock off New York, 10-6, at Yankee Stadium. Marte went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. With the win, the Red Sox have a record of 65-63.
Jorge Polanco went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times for Boston. The 32-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the 11th. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Taylor Clarke. It was his 56th walk of the season.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Polanco.
