The Seattle Mariners topped the Houston Astros, 5-2, in American League action at T-Mobile Park. The standout performance belonged to Seattle pitcher and Demopolis, Alabama, native Spencer Turnbull. Cal Quantrill, credited with the save, is now 11 for 12 in save opportunities. The Mariners improved their record to 53-77 with the win over Houston.

Alec Burleson was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Seattle. The 26-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With no one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off David Festa. It was his 118th hit of the season.

"We did enough to win," said Turnbull.
