Reds Stumble, Lose to Pirates
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up a win at PNC Park, knocking off the Cincinnati Reds, 8-4. On the mound for Pittsburgh was right-hander Tony Gonsolin. He played a key role in the triumph. Gonsolin, now 5-14, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 1 run. Jhony Brito, credited with the save, is now 5 for 9 in save opportunities.
