Oakland Slaps 4-3 Loss on Texas
|
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Oakland Athletics and Texas Rangers.
The Oakland Athletics withstood an impressive performance by Texas left fielder Jarren Duran to defeat the Rangers, 4-3, at Globe Life Field. Duran went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times. Picking up the win was Braxton Garrett. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 2 and walked 4.
Oakland used the hitting of Kyle Tucker to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Athletics on top, 4-2. For the game, Tucker had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Oakland manager Brad P called it "a good, solid win."
Oakland raised its record to 74-58 with the win.
