Philadelphia Makes It 7 Straight with 11-4 Win
The New York Mets could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Luis Ortiz into a win. Instead, the Philadelphia Phillies prevailed, 11-4. Ortiz threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. Philadelphia pitcher Caleb Thielbar got the win. He's now 8-0. Cade Smith was tagged with the loss. Philadelphia is now 86-46, New York 74-58.

Philadelphia shortstop Tyler Fitzgerald contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the eighth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 74th hit of the season and put the Phillies ahead, 6-4.

"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Philadelphia manager Jon C.
