T-Mobile Park was the site of a competitive game between the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres.

The San Diego Padres took Seattle pitcher Mike Clevinger's best shot and still were able to claim a win at T-Mobile Park. The final score had San Diego getting past the Mariners, 3-2. Clevinger went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 3. San Diego reliever Matt Strahm picked up the win, raising his record to 7-2. Kyle Freeland was tagged with the loss. Ryan Walker earned his 35th save in 38 chances.

Nico Hoerner, who finished 5th in the NL in triples with 6 in 2023, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hoerner contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put San Diego up, 3-2.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Hoerner said after the game.

San Diego goes to 74-60, Seattle to 54-80.
