Astros Get Clutch Win, 3-2
|
The Houston Astros earned a close win over the Texas Rangers, thanks in part to Framber Valdez. The Houston left-hander, who finished 2nd in the AL in innings pitched with 213.1 in 2023, played a key role in the 11-inning, 3-2 victory. Texas has now lost 6 consecutive games.
The decisive blow was delivered by Yordan Alvarez in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a solo home run off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Camilo Doval to win the game for Houston. The home crowd went nuts.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Valdez.
