Starting pitcher Max Scherzer did his part in helping the Toronto Blue Jays thwart the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-1. Toronto is now 60-75, Milwaukee 51-85.

The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from first baseman Will Benson. For the game, Benson was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Toronto a 3-1 lead.
