The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Boston Red Sox, 5-4, in 12 innings. Pittsburgh pitcher and Victoria, Canada, native Nick Pivetta led the way. Pittsburgh reliever Tayler Saucedo got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Jared Koenig was tagged with the loss. Michael Grove converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.
