Twins Pick Up 3-2 Win Against San Diego
|
Gerrit Cole, who finished 5th in the NL in innings pitched with 216.0 last year, had a strong outing for the Minnesota Twins against the San Diego Padres at Target Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Josh Hader earned his 4th save in 6 chances. Minnesota is now 72-64, San Diego 74-62.
The Twins got a big at-bat from second baseman Kristian Campbell. For the game, Campbell was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Minnesota a 3-2 lead.
