5 Straight Wins for Reds
|
The Cincinnati Reds beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-4, at Great American Ball Park. Brett Baty, in particular, was impressive. He went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Seth Lugo, who threw 94 pitches over 7 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits. The Cincinnati winning streak has reached 5 games.
With Cincinnati leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Baty hit a fastball from Ronel Blanco for a 3-run home run. It was his 32nd home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 4-0.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Baty.
