The Houston Astros defeated the Texas Rangers, 4-3, in American League action at Minute Maid Park. Houston pitcher Andrew Abbott had a standout performance. The win went to Jhoan Duran in relief, making him now 2-1. Camilo Doval took the loss for Texas. With the win, Houston raised its record to 72-66.

The decisive blow was delivered by Joey Ortiz in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Camilo Doval to win the game for Houston. The home crowd went nuts.

"This house was rockin'," Ortiz said.
