Rockies Take Down Giants, 4-3
|
Colorado beat San Francisco at Colorado Field, eking out a 4-3 win in 12 innings. The win was due in large part to catcher Cal Raleigh. He was 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Colorado is now 81-57, San Francisco 73-65.
The decisive blow was delivered by Davis Schneider in the bottom of the 12th when he hit a run-scoring double off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Topa to win the game for Colorado. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place sure got loud," said Bobby S, the Colorado manager.
