Tampa Bay Slaps 4-1 Loss on Seattle
Tampa Bay pitcher Erick Fedde did his part in helping his team beat the Seattle Mariners, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win puts Tampa Bay at 49-88.

Samad Taylor had a big 2-run triple for the Rays in the bottom of the third inning. With Tampa Bay leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Mike Clevinger, who finished 4th in the NL in wins with 15 in 2021, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rays ahead, 3-0.

Tampa Bay manager Mark S called it "a pretty good win."
