Humberto Castellanos had a strong outing for the Detroit Tigers against the New York Mets at Comerica Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Detroit goes to 89-51, New York to 80-59.

Delivering for the home team was three-time Great Glove Award winner Carlos Correa. In the bottom of the fifth, the veteran shortstop had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 2-0, Tigers.

Detroit manager Chris C commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
