Cardinals Pocket 6-2 Win Against Houston
|
Josiah Gray, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in complete games with 1, propelled his team to victory over the Houston Astros. The final score was 6-2, St. Louis. With the win over Houston, the Cardinals improved to 50-90.
The Cardinals got a big hit from designated hitter Keston Hiura. In the bottom of the sixth, Hiura smacked a 3-run home run off Houston pitcher Mitch Spence. It was his 14th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Cardinals were ahead, 4-2.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Hiura said.
