The Los Angeles Angels topped the New York Yankees, 5-4, in American League action at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The game was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Matthew Liberatore. Liberatore yielded 4 runs over 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 3-2.
