Keegan Thompson, who is tied for 10th in the AL in wins with 11, was terrific for the Texas Rangers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Los Angeles Angels. His performance earned Thompson rave reviews. Jayden Murray was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 5 save opportunities. The victory puts Texas at 53-89.

Tristan Gray had a big 2-run double for the Rangers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Texas leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Justin Lawrence and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 19th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 4-1.
