Braves Deal Seattle 3-1 Defeat
The Atlanta Braves, despite a fine performance by Seattle pitcher Tarik Skubal, grabbed a 3-1 win at Truist Park. Skubal allowed 3 runs over 8 innings. Reese Olson picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-0 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 3 in 5 innings, while yielding 1 run. By defeating Seattle, the last-place Braves improved to 65-78.

The Braves got a big at-bat from center fielder Kevin Kiermaier. For the game, Kiermaier was 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Atlanta a 3-1 lead.
