Cleveland Slaps 5-4 Loss on Tampa Bay
|
Cleveland shortstop Masyn Winn was instrumental in helping the Guardians triumph, 5-4, over the Tampa Bay Rays. Winn went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The win went to Danny Coulombe in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Andrew Nardi took the loss. Cleveland is now 74-69, while Tampa Bay is 50-93.
Jurickson Profar, who finished 2nd in the NL in triples with 9 in 2022, helped out the Cleveland cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman drew 2 walks.
