Cubs Capture Close Win
Chicago second baseman Gleyber Torres was instrumental in helping the Cubs triumph, 7-6, over the New York Yankees. Torres was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Chicago reliever David Bednar picked up the win, raising his record to 3-6. A.J. Minter was tagged with the loss. The first-place Cubs, at 85-58, lead the National League Central Division by 10 games.

Dylan Moore was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cubs pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Torres.
