Arizona 5-3 Losers to Giants
|
The San Francisco Giants knocked off the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-3, at Oracle Park. Cedric Mullins was a big reason San Francisco won. The left fielder went 3-3 with 3 singles. San Francisco has run its win streak to 5 straight.
Jeimer Candelario had a big 2-run double for the Giants in the bottom of the third inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Tristan Beck and swatted a double to right. It was his 41st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 3-0.
San Francisco manager Jason M called it "a darn good win."
