Los Angeles Sent Home with 4-3 Loss
|
The Toronto Blue Jays had to overcome a big game from Los Angeles shortstop J.P. Crawford to leave Rogers Centre with a victory. And they did, winning, 4-3. Crawford went 3-4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Toronto pitcher Tanner Banks got the win. He's now 5-2. Justin Lawrence was tagged with the loss. The loss makes Los Angeles 68-79.
Toronto right fielder Jordan Walker contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 89th hit of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-2.
After the game, Toronto manager Dan D applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
