Orioles 5-4 Victors Over Toronto
|
Though he had a terrific game, Ke'Bryan Hayes could not prevent his team, the Toronto Blue Jays, from absorbing a loss. Baltimore won the game, 5-4. Hayes was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Baltimore reliever Packy Naughton picked up the win, upping his record to 7-5. Quinn Priester absorbed the loss. Greg Weissert earned his 8th save in 9 tries.
The Orioles got a big at-bat from shortstop Trevor Story. For the game, Story went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 4-2 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Baltimore manager Doc D.
After today's action, Baltimore sits at 71-76, while Toronto falls to 68-79.
