Phillies Suffer 6-3 Home Defeat
|
New York Mets starter Clayton Kershaw pitched a strong game against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park, leading the Mets to victory, 6-3. Elijah Morgan, credited with the save, is now 11 for 19 in save opportunities. New York, at 70-79, occupies third place in the National League East Division.
In the top of the sixth, New York right fielder Ramon Laureano had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Laureano stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 3-1, New York. For the game, he was 1 for 4.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Kershaw.
