Los Angeles Tacks 10-2 Loss on San Francisco
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers picked up a win at Oracle Park, taking down the San Francisco Giants, 10-2. Starting pitcher Jared Jones was a big reason why. Jones, now 7-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The Dodgers now have a record of 73-75 with the win over San Francisco.
Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Sammy Siani to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I liked his command," said Los Angeles manager Jeff R. "Jared was throwing strikes."
