Tampa Bay picked up a win at Wrigley Field, bumping off the Chicago Cubs, 3-1. Pitcher David Peterson was a major reason the Rays emerged victorious. Peterson got the win, improving to 4-13. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. The defeat makes Chicago 87-61.

Tampa Bay used a well-timed hit by Zach McKinstry to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Rays ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said McKinstry, "one at-bat at a time."
