The Los Angeles Angels could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tyler Anderson into a win. Instead, the Atlanta Braves prevailed, 2-1. Anderson threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Joe Jimenez, credited with the save, is now 6 for 6 in save opportunities. With the win over Los Angeles, the Braves improved to 69-80.

Atlanta took a 2-1 lead on Vinnie Pasquantino's 29th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Pasquantino hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Los Angeles pitcher Luis Patiño visibly frustrated.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Pasquantino.
