T-Mobile Park was the site of a competitive game between the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics.

Oakland pitcher Yusei Kikuchi did his part in helping his team beat the Seattle Mariners, 3-1. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Kikuchi, the winner, moves to 11-8. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 1 walk. Abner Uribe nailed down his 1st save.

Oakland used the timely hitting of Colt Keith to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Athletics on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Kikuchi, "and then get after it again."

The loss makes Seattle 62-88.
