2024 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Texas Rangers.

The Seattle Mariners defeated the Texas Rangers, 5-3, at T-Mobile Park. Seattle was led by 23-year old right fielder Riley Greene, who went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. With the win over Texas, the Mariners improved to 68-82.

Greene contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Greene took a slider from Paul Blackburn and stroked the home run to right. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Mariners to leap in front, 3-2.

Greene called the win "a collective effort."
