Milwaukee Sends Oakland Packing with 3-2 Loss
|
The Milwaukee Brewers and Oakland Athletics played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at American Family Field, knocking off the Oakland Athletics, 3-2. On the mound for Milwaukee was left-hander Clayton Kershaw. He played a key role in the triumph. Earning the save was Trevor Megill. He's now cashed in 5 of 9 save opportunities.
Milwaukee took a 3-1 lead on Jake Meyers's 16th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Meyers hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Oakland pitcher Michael King visibly frustrated.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Oakland manager Brad P, "let me know."
The Brewers go to 55-96 with the win.
