Brayan Bello, who is tied for 9th in the NL with a 3.24 ERA, pitched well, but the Washington Nationals still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Atlanta Braves at Nationals Park. Atlanta is 71-82 and Washington, with the loss, 74-79.

Bryan Reynolds, who finished 5th in the NL in doubles with 45 in 2022, had a direct impact on the outcome. Reynolds contributed a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Atlanta up, 3-1.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Washington manager Shane S said, following the tough loss.
