Astros Get 4-2 Win Versus Pittsburgh
|
Wet weather did not postpone the Houston-Pittsburgh ballgame.
The Houston Astros downed the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-2, at PNC Park. The Astros were led by Yordan Alvarez. Alvarez went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Houston is now 80-75, Pittsburgh 70-85.
Early in the game, Alvarez had a 2-run home run for Houston. It was his 34th home run of the season and put the Astros on top, 2-0.
Alvarez told a Houston News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
