The Minnesota Twins overcame a pretty good performance by Cleveland second baseman Gunnar Henderson, beating the Guardians, 9-5, at Target Field. Henderson was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The winning pitcher was Spencer Schwellenbach. He tossed 99 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits. The win puts Minnesota at 83-72 this season.

Jordan Westburg had a big 2-run home run for the Twins in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minnesota trailing 4-3 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from top prospect Paul Skenes and punished it. The result was his 19th home run of the season, which put the Twins on top, 5-4.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Westburg said.
