The Oakland Athletics downed the Colorado Rockies, 8-1. The hitting star was center fielder JJ Bleday. Bleday went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Athletics. Yusei Kikuchi, who is tied for 4th in the AL with a 10.9 K/9 rate, was the winner.
