New York Gets 6-4 Road Win
|
Oakland right fielder Josh Lowe had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to New York at Oakland Coliseum. Lowe went 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Lance Lynn was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Sixto Sánchez earned his 6th save in 8 chances.
In the top of the fifth inning, the Yankees grabbed the lead when Yohel Pozo rapped a two-out single. New York was trailing 3-2, when Pozo hit a 2-run single off Chris Bassitt to put his team in front, 4-3.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Pozo.
The win puts New York at 62-94.
