The Texas Rangers topped the Cleveland Guardians, 9-4, in American League action at Progressive Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Texas right fielder Lawrence Butler. Paul Blackburn was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 2 save opportunities. The Rangers improved their record to 66-94 with the win over Cleveland.

Kameron Misner helped out the Texas cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
