Rockies Deal Giants 9-3 Loss
|
The Colorado Rockies grabbed a win, 9-3, over the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. Colorado catcher Patrick Bailey went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Alex Lange got credit for the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 1.2 innings. The first-place Rockies, at 93-68, now lead their division by 2½ games.
Cal Raleigh was 1-4 with a walk for Colorado. The 28-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Gregory Soto. It was his 54th walk of the season.
"Their at-bats were really impressive against us," said losing manager Jason M.
