Cubs Take Tight Tangle
The Chicago Cubs withstood an impressive performance by Cincinnati third baseman Brett Baty to defeat the Reds, 6-5, at Wrigley Field. Baty was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chicago reliever John Brebbia picked up the win, upping his record to 4-4. Felix Bautista was saddled with the loss. The first-place Cubs have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Chicago trailing 5-4, Gleyber Torres hit a fastball from Felix Bautista to left-center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Cubs had a walk-off win.

"This place was rocking at the end," Torres said.
