The Seattle Mariners got a superb performance from pitcher Spencer Turnbull, but the Los Angeles Dodgers still won the game, 5-3. Turnbull threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Los Angeles reliever Huascar Ynoa, now 3-0. The loser was Cal Quantrill. Orion Kerkering converted his 25th save in 30 tries.

Los Angeles needed the clutch hitting of Derek Hill to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 4-3. For the game, Hill had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"This was a good win," said Hill.

Today's win puts Los Angeles at 80-81, while Seattle falls to 65-96.
