Marlins Suffer 3-2 Home Defeat
The New York Mets had to overcome a good performance from Miami pitcher Shane Bieber to claim a 3-2 win at loanDepot Park. Bieber went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win went to Joe Kelly in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Sam Hentges took the loss. New York is now 92-70, Miami 101-61.

New York took a 3-2 lead on Jacob Young's 18th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Young hit in the top of the seventh, left Miami pitcher Sam Hentges visibly frustrated.

"It was a solid team effort," said Young after the game.
