Acuna Jr. Slugs Reds to 11-5 Win
|
Cincinnati right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. made his presence felt in the 11-5 Reds triumph over the San Francisco Giants. Acuna Jr. was 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. San Francisco now has a record of 1-1.
Acuna Jr. contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Cincinnati in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Acuna Jr. took a splitter from Logan Gilbert and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Reds to leap in front, 2-1.
"It feels good to get this one," Acuna Jr. told the Cincinnati Daily News.
