Arizona Diamondbacks starter Sean Manaea was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Chicago Cubs, 3-0. Fernando Cruz closed out the game, earning his 1st save. Arizona goes to 2-2.

Eguy Rosario had a big 2-run home run for the Diamondbacks in the bottom of the third inning. With Arizona leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Wells and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Diamondbacks on top, 3-0.
