Semien Slugs Mets to 8-4 Win
The New York Mets trumped the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-4, at Citi Field. New York third baseman Marcus Semien was terrific. He went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Elijah Morgan notched his 2nd save of the season. At 3-0, the Mets have played well so far.

Andrew Vaughn, who finished 4th in the NL in doubles with 47 in 2022, contributed to the New York win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 4 runs batted in.
