McLain Slugs 2 Home Runs, Tigers Beat Mariners, 7-3
The Detroit Tigers beat the Seattle Mariners, 7-3, at T-Mobile Park. The win was due in part to second baseman Matt McLain, who was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Dylan Lee picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Elvis Peguero was tagged with the loss. The win gives Detroit a record of 3-2.

McLain had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 slider from Kyle Freeland, he banged a grand slam home run to center, giving the Tigers a 7-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for McLain.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said McLain.
