Behind the hitting of Spencer Horwitz, the Arizona Diamondbacks stopped the New York Yankees, 4-2. Horwitz went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Diamondbacks. Arizona pitcher Eury Perez got the win, upping his record to 1-1. Osvaldo Bido got the loss. The Diamondbacks, now 4-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
With Arizona leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Horwitz hit a fastball from Osvaldo Bido for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Diamondbacks ahead, 4-1.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Horwitz. "And not try to do too much."
