Ashcraft Silences Toronto Bats
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Citi Field.

In a tight tilt between the New York Mets and the Toronto Blue Jays, Graham Ashcraft was the deciding factor. The New York right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. Kenley Jansen finished the game for New York and earned his 1st save.

Ashcraft, who was born in Huntsville, Alabama, threw 78 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"Graham gave us a huge shot in the arm," said New York manager Craig K.

New York goes to 4-3.
