Kansas City Tacks 6-4 Loss on Baltimore
|
The Kansas City Royals overcame a pretty good performance by Baltimore right fielder Aaron Judge, beating the Orioles, 6-4, at Kauffman Stadium. Judge was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kansas City reliever Danny Coulombe picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jeff Hoffman absorbed the loss. Jhoan Duran was credited with the save for Kansas City, his 3rd of the season.
Right Fielder Corbin Carroll made an impact for Kansas City, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Phil Maton in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Carroll went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk.
"It feels good to get this one," Carroll told the Kansas City Citizen.
The Royals, now 5-2, have hit the ground running this season.
